Walker Family Cancer Center Fundraising Program
The Niagara Falls International Marathon is proud to announce that its primary charity will be The Walker Family Cancer Center. Currently more than 6,700 Niagara residents are diagnosed with cancer each year; many of these patients must travel outside the region for cancer treatment that is not available in Niagara. The Walker Cancer Center will provide comprehensive cancer care, and 95 per cent of Niagara cancer patients will be able to receive their treatment right here in the region. The Niagara Falls International Marathon will support the state-of-the-art health-care complex “It's Our Time” Campaign, recognizing that our commitment will make a difference in the lives and future of our community.
Funds raised through the Niagara Falls International Marathon support the building of The Walker Cancer Center thereby enhancing patient care for those suffering from cancer. Your fundraising efforts ensure that whenever our cancer patients need us most we will be here to provide the very best care for them.
Help us continue this important work by asking friends and family to run and raise pledges with you. After you register, you can link to an online pledge form. Copy this link and send it to friends and family who wish to support you and help those fighting this dreadful disease. It is easy and it is for a great cause. Run in memory of or to honour a loved one — a family member, a friend, a colleague at work who has suffered from this terrible disease. Collect pledges or make a donation yourself or sponsor a participant — a charitable tax receipt will be issued to all donors.
All monies raised will go directly to the campaign to build the Walker Family Cancer Centre. Our goal is to bring cancer care and treatment closer to home for thousands of patients — with your help we will reach our goal. Thank you!

If you raise $250 or more in pledges, you will receive a free bus ticket to the start of the race (Half Marathon and Full Marathon only), and a free ticket to the Pasta Party on Saturday October 22nd. That's a $30 value!!

and return it with your pledge money to the charity you have selected. Make cheques payable to the charity that you are supporting.
In order to be eligible for the free bus ticket and Pasta Party ticket, pledge forms and pledge money must be handed to the charity BEFORE race day.
Please provide a copy of your receipt from the charity to obtain your free bus and pasta tickets. No free bus tickets will be issued on race day.
